Item 158: "Go Away" Gargoyle Stone
16" W x 16" H
$550.00

Item Z-BGD: Digger the Biker Gnome
Digger is 25" long from wheel to wheel and 19" tall. The Mold price is $950.00

Digger's story: Once only available from Zimmerman Lawn Ornaments in Langwowrthy, Iowa, Digger the Biker Gnome is now available to a broader market. Digger started as a custom sculptural commission for Ron Zimmerman, whose enthusiasm for biking inspired his idea for a whimsical lawn gnome that celebrates the biker's free-spirited sense of fun and adventure. Stone Gryphon Studio's Todd Meyer sculpted the piece and sold the copyright to Ron Zimmerman a few years ago. Digger was a huge hit! Ron had so many requests from other producers who wanted this piece that he eventually asked us if we would offer this mold to other producers. Ron has two requirements, however. First, for every one of these we sell, he gets $200.00 in royalty because he owns the copyright. Our current price is $950.00 for the mold, $200 of which goes to Ron. Second, since Ron does still own the copyright, he asks that we not sell the mold to other producers who will sell into his area. That means if you're in Northern Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota or Wisconsin, check with Ron first to get his permission. Otherwise, if you're outside of his territory, we can make you a mold, too. Call us if you're interested or have any questions about this special offer.

Item 161: Rocky Moonstone
Rocky is a rough-hewn little troll with an attitude. But these days, attitude sells! If your inventory is a bit heavy on cutesy, angelic designs, it's probably time for you to add some of Stone Gryphon Studio's edgier art work. You perennially sweet-tempered producers may be surprised to hear what others already know: Crabby sells! There is a large supply of cranky, frustrated, retail customers with a bad attitude out there, and their need for art work expressing their common perspective is not met by puppies and angels. If you want to sell to these people, give them art that expresses how they feel! Give them Rocky Moonstone (or our Go Away Gargoyle, for starters).

Rocky's story: After watching a show on HGTV about moon gardens featuring white flowers for moonlit strolls, my mom remarked to my dad that she would like her own moon garden. My dad, just the sort of cantankerous customer I described above, dreamt up the statue HE would want to see in HIS moon garden--a little troll mooning someone. He took his idea to Todd and coaxed him to create such a beast. Voila! Rocky Moonstone was born! He is about 9 1/2 " tall and about 9 1/2" wide. The mold price is $475.00. Rocky's been getting lots of chuckles around here.
